Sometimes I want to scream,
but I can’t for the sake of image.
Thoughts wander, anger boils –
up from my chest it comes to my lips.
They close, so it reverberates
through my body,
in my blood;
Pressure against thick skin
Trapped.
So I cry when
no one is watching.
